Senior Finance Clerk

WIPO seeks a Senior Finance Clerk in Geneva for its Accounts Payable Unit. The post will process payments, vouchers, travel advances and account postings; reconcile general-ledger and related accounts; maintain accounting records and financial systems; resolve client queries; and support internal controls and compliance with financial regulations, anti-fraud procedures and travel instructions.

• Analyse and process financial data and correspondence for compliance with financial rules
• Process commercial invoices, payments, vouchers and related account postings
• Process travel advances and claim settlements
• Maintain accounting records and financial data
• Reconcile general-ledger, suspense and petty-cash accounts
• Resolve client queries and explain financial rules and procedures

• Secondary education supplemented by accounting or finance training or post-secondary education
• At least five years of accounting or finance-related work experience
• Experience working with an ERP system
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Knowledge of accounting and financial principles, procedures and systems

• Experience in the United Nations common system or another international organisation
• Experience using Oracle Fusion
• Knowledge of French or other official United Nations languages
