Overview

Strengthens WIPO’s Brands and Designs Sector engagement with China from Geneva. The officer develops relationships with authorities and industry bodies, plans and monitors programmes promoting intellectual-property services, prepares executive briefings, supports diplomatic engagements and represents WIPO at events.

Responsibilities

  • Support engagement with Member States, particularly China
  • Plan, implement and monitor programmes promoting WIPO services
  • Develop relationships with Chinese authorities and industry bodies
  • Prepare executive briefings, presentations and speaking points
  • Coordinate substantive and logistical support for diplomatic engagements
  • Maintain stakeholder contacts and track follow-up actions
  • Represent WIPO at national, regional and international events
  • Coordinate sector delivery with registries and the WIPO Office in China

Requirements

  • First-level university degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least six years of relevant national and international professional experience
  • Experience in international diplomacy and outreach
  • Experience with cooperation programmes and policy development in China
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
