Job Description
Coordinates international technical cooperation, outreach and capacity-building that expand adoption and effective use of WIPO's PCT digital services. The officer works with intellectual-property offices and Member States to deploy ePCT, provide user support and data-exchange advice, deliver training and promotional activities, analyse engagement results, and strengthen customer-focused digital patent-filing services and partnerships.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Design and monitor customer-centred ePCT capacity-building and outreach initiatives
- Support IP offices and Member States to deploy and adopt PCT online services
- Represent WIPO at meetings and present PCT digital tools
- Resolve difficult user problems and advise on data exchange and online services
- Develop ePCT training materials, tutorials and promotional resources
- Deliver seminars, workshops, symposia and training programmes
- Prepare evaluation, data and promotional reports and documents
- Identify customer needs and improve service interactions
Role Requirements
- First-level university degree in law, business, international relations, international development, computer science, science, engineering, languages or a related field
- At least six years of progressively responsible relevant experience including Patent Cooperation Treaty work
- Experience in capacity-building, technical assistance or international cooperation in intellectual-property contexts
- Experience engaging national IP offices, international organizations or government institutions
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Familiarity with ePCT, PCT electronic systems and international online-filing tools
Desired Criteria
- Further qualification in intellectual-property law
- Training or certification in project management, capacity building or international cooperation
- Experience in PCT processing and user support in an intellectual-property office
- Experience handling sensitive information data flows
- Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data for evidence-based planning
- Familiarity with structured markup technologies

- Initial fixed-term appointment is two years and renewable subject to conditions, up to five years in the position
