Capacity and Skills Development Officer

Develops and coordinates ITU training and digital-skills programmes for Member States. The officer supports Academy Training Centres, designs accredited learning resources, manages learning-platform delivery, advises partners on ICT capacity priorities and guides staff producing courses and publications.

• Design and implement ICT capacity-building and digital-skills programmes
• Support and monitor ITU Academy Training Centres with regional offices
• Develop training materials, quality standards and accreditation approaches
• Coordinate experts producing learning resources and publications
• Build partnerships with academia and capacity-development stakeholders
• Analyze ICT skills needs and advise ITU members and training providers
• Manage training resources and services in the ITU Academy learning platform
• Guide junior staff, general service colleagues and interns

• Advanced university degree in education, social sciences, human resources management, training and development, business administration or a related field, or an equivalent advanced diploma
• At least five years of progressively responsible capacity-building, training or learning-and-development experience, including two years internationally
• ICT training or capacity-development project experience
• Learning-management-system, e-learning and online-collaboration experience
• Advanced command of one ITU official language and intermediate command of a second

• Fixed-term appointment for two years with possibility of renewal
• Annual net salary starts at USD 71,335 plus a current post adjustment of USD 61,919
