TEMPORARY POST - Finance and Accounting Officer (NSATU - Germany)

Leads financial accounting, controls, reporting, property oversight and audit support for NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine.

• Manage NSATU financial, accounting and related administrative operations
• Control and approve commitments and payments within delegated limits
• Maintain financial accounts and oversee travel and reimbursable-cost accounting
• Organise year-end closure and provide accurate financial-statement information
• Oversee hospitality funds, property records and proposed asset write-offs
• Develop finance and accounting procedures aligned with NATO regulations
• Advise other sections on financial administration
• Prepare information and coordinate support for internal and external audits

• Holds a degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, public administration or a related field with four years of relevant experience, or an eligible vocational qualification with seven years of relevant experience
• Has professional experience as an accountant or financial officer in a large national or multinational organisation
• Has extensive knowledge of financial-management principles and accounting techniques
• Is proficient in English at NATO SLP 3333
