Scientist (Data, AI and Innovation)

Develops data-science and artificial-intelligence solutions and leads innovation projects supporting NATO's lessons-learned capability.

• Develop and deploy data-science and artificial-intelligence solutions for JALLC
• Plan and manage the annual cycle of innovation projects
• Lead multidisciplinary innovation-project teams and technical delivery
• Define problems and requirements and conduct research and analysis
• Advise project leads on technical aspects of innovation initiatives
• Research solution providers and prepare statements of work
• Represent JALLC in NATO data, artificial-intelligence and innovation forums
• Build working relationships across NATO, Allied and partner organisations

• Holds a university degree in information technology, economics, statistics, operations research or a related discipline with four years of relevant experience, or an eligible vocational qualification with five years of post-related and two years of function-related experience
• Has five years of related professional experience, including three years developing and deploying data-science or artificial-intelligence solutions and one year managing projects and contracts
• Has three years of experience developing data-science and artificial-intelligence solutions with Python
• Has recent training or experience in language models, natural-language processing, retrieval-augmented generation and knowledge graphs
• Is proficient in English at NATO SLP 3333
• Can obtain NATO SECRET security clearance
