Job Description
Provides political, protocol and coordination support for UNFPA executive leadership in engagements with Member States and external stakeholders. The specialist prepares high-level briefs and messages, coordinates meetings, visits and missions, monitors political developments, and tracks decisions and follow-up so engagements are strategically prepared, delivered and documented.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Prepare speeches, remarks, talking points and briefing materials for executive leadership
- Coordinate executive engagements with Member States and external stakeholders
- Prepare background information, stakeholder profiles and meeting objectives
- Coordinate protocol arrangements for high-level meetings, events, visits and missions
- Liaise with Permanent Missions, host governments and United Nations protocol counterparts
- Monitor political, partner and media developments relevant to executive engagements
- Track decisions, commitments and follow-up actions from executive meetings
- Maintain systems for executive engagement and briefing requirements
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in international relations, political science, diplomacy, communications, public policy, international development, law, public administration or a related field
- At least five years of relevant experience in international relations, political affairs, diplomacy, protocol, strategic communications, external relations or executive support
- Knowledge of diplomatic protocol for high-level official engagements
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience supporting external partners including private-sector entities, foundations or civil society
- Experience preparing media briefs, press lines or event summaries
- Experience in the United Nations system or a comparable international organisation
- Knowledge of the United Nations system and multilateral processes
