Job Description
The World Economic Forum's Centre for Regions, Trade and Geopolitics seeks a Government Engagement Lead to drive engagement with Japan's national and sub-national governments. Based in Tokyo, the role designs and delivers public-private collaborations and reports to the Chief Representative Officer of the Forum in Japan.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and deepen relationships with the public sector in Japan
- Collaborate with Forum colleagues to co-develop public-private partnerships with national, prefectural and municipal governments
- Develop and deliver national and sub-national gatherings including programme development and budget management
- Engage relevant government constituents in Forum initiatives, projects and events
Role Requirements
- Advanced/Master's degree in political science, economics, international relations or related field
- At least 15 years of professional experience working with Japan's public sector
- Native-level Japanese and outstanding English language skills
Desired Criteria
- Verbal proficiency in other languages an asset
- Comfort navigating ambiguity as a self-starter
