Head of Business Engagement, Japan

The Head of Business Engagement, Japan leads the World Economic Forum's business strategy and partner engagement in Tokyo. The role manages the Japan business team, develops and retains senior corporate partnerships, oversees portfolio performance and coordinates internal teams to deliver a compelling value proposition across the Forum's platforms and communities.

• Lead the Forum's Japan business strategy and execute a growth plan aligned with Forum priorities
• Manage the Japan business team and resources against partner acquisition and renewal objectives
• Build trusted relationships with CEOs and senior executives from Japan
• Drive business development across industries and convert high-quality leads into Forum partners
• Oversee strategic planning and portfolio performance monitoring while coordinating internal stakeholders

• Advanced degree and 15+ years of experience in business or strategic engagement roles focused on Japan
• Demonstrated success building trust-based relationships with CEO- and Chair-level executives
• Strong track record in consultative business development and converting high-potential opportunities
• Native Japanese speaker with excellent communication skills in English

• Proficiency in another language is a plus
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time
