Job Description
Ensures that UNFPA’s Executive Board documentation and engagements are timely, accurate and aligned with UN editorial standards and institutional priorities. The specialist coordinates Board sessions, consultations and Country Programme Documents, secures senior-management clearances, edits formal materials and liaises with Member States to support effective governance, negotiation and visibility.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Plan the development and submission of Executive Board documentation and secure required senior-management clearances
- Coordinate business units on preparation and timely submission of official Board materials
- Review and edit Executive Board documents for UN editorial policy, terminology, style and directives
- Coordinate Country Programme Documents with the Programme Review Committee Secretariat, regional and country offices
- Compile Member State comments on Country Programme Documents for publication
- Manage external editor consultants during workload peaks
- Support Board decision negotiations and capture Member State-agreed language
- Organise formal sessions, informal consultations, briefings and the Salas Lecture with Member States
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in social sciences, law, humanities, international relations, political science or a related discipline
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in an international organisation
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in intergovernmental processes, external relations, governance or strategic planning
- Understanding of UNFPA substantive areas
- Experience with UN editorial policy, terminology, style, rules and directives
- French
- Working knowledge of another official UN language
