Job Description
Establishes a UNFPA Uzbekistan long-term arrangement for local and international writers and editors. Consultants will produce, edit and proofread advocacy, visibility and humanitarian materials for public, donor and partner audiences; document events and projects; develop digital stories and knowledge products; and deliver polished content that meets UNFPA quality, style and format standards.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Write, edit and proofread communication, visibility and advocacy products
- Produce event coverage stories, news and website materials
- Develop human-interest stories and media articles
- Prepare reports on UNFPA-supported events, workshops and projects
- Review and consolidate knowledge products for clarity and continuity
- Incorporate UNFPA comments through several editing rounds
- Deliver content to agreed quality, style and format standards under short timelines
Role Requirements
- At least three years of writing stories, articles, features, human-interest stories or reports for public audiences
- Writer-editor experience
- Professional fluency in English, Uzbek, Russian or Karakalpak according to the selected category
- Submit a cover letter, CV and work samples or portfolio
Desired Criteria
- Experience with UNFPA or other United Nations agencies is an asset
- Basic English is an advantage for local consultants

- Long-Term Agreement may be awarded to the top ten candidates in each category
- Payment is made after satisfactory completion of actual work
