This consultancy strengthens the visibility of ICTP research and education activities in Italian local and national media. The consultant will communicate scientifically accurate information through press releases, press conferences and media partnerships, helping build stronger relationships with journalists and increase coverage of the Centre’s research, events and achievements.

• Disseminate scientifically accurate public information to local and national media
• Write press releases in Italian on ICTP research, events and achievements
• Distribute press releases to local and national media outlets
• Build partnerships with local and national media organisations
• Support press conferences and media communications for major ICTP events and achievements
• Contribute to stronger relationships with local and national journalists
• Deliver timely press releases that increase media requests and news coverage of ICTP activities

• Advanced university degree in science, communications, public information, journalism or a related field
• At least five years of professional experience in public information and communications focused on science dissemination
• In-depth knowledge of Italian media, particularly science media, with contacts among journalists, editors and radio and television directors
• Fluent English
• Fluent Italian with excellent Italian writing skills
