Job Description

Leads NATO Allied Command Transformation’s Air Basing, Ammunition Storage and POL infrastructure programme. The director manages lifecycle planning, governance submissions, requirements development, acceptance and disposal processes, and programme reviews. The role directs project coordinators, coordinates NATO stakeholders and develops standards, urgent requirements and capability solutions across infrastructure facilities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead infrastructure and facilities capability programme planning
  • Assess lifecycle cost, scope, schedule, risk and performance for governance submissions
  • Direct project coordinators developing materiel solutions
  • Maintain management data for infrastructure-project monitoring
  • Lead Investment Committee inputs for ACT materiel solutions
  • Coordinate stakeholders on assigned infrastructure and facilities programmes
  • Lead reviews and updates of directives, criteria and standards
  • Plan support, acceptance and disposal activities across capability-development stages

Role Requirements

  • University degree in civil engineering or a related discipline with four years of post-related experience
  • At least four years in a leading programme-management and resource role in a large organization
  • At least five years of leadership experience in infrastructure and facilities programmes within the last ten years
  • Experience in infrastructure and facilities work in the military, industry or both
  • Fluent English at SLP 3333
  • Ability to obtain NATO SECRET security clearance before employment

Desired Criteria

  • Chartered or professionally accredited civil or military engineer
  • Understanding of NATO Governance and Management for common-funded capabilities
  • Managing Successful Programmes qualification
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification
  • Airbasing infrastructure experience
