Overview

Develops and governs NATO capability requirements across standardisation and interoperability. The role elicits and validates requirements, maintains traceability and configuration control, leads project teams and aligns capability designs with architecture, acquisition and defence-planning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Define operational requirements for NATO standardisation and interoperability
  • Elicit, analyse, validate and maintain traceability across capability requirement sets
  • Control requirement versions, configurations and approved changes throughout the lifecycle
  • Identify stakeholder, operational, capability-target and regulatory requirements
  • Lead or support capability requirements teams and develop actionable engineering plans
  • Assess capability gaps, dependencies and consistency across NATO portfolios
  • Develop capability designs, courses of action, requirement briefs and programme plans
  • Coordinate workshops and liaise with NATO, industry, academia and technical communities

Requirements

  • Four years of recent experience supporting large-scale procurement and acquisition programmes
  • Experience developing and coordinating policy, directives and concepts
  • Three years of recent experience leading project teams
  • Experience organising workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Relevant university degree with four years of post-related experience, or advanced vocational qualification with five years of post-related and two years of function-related experience
  • Role-specific experience in interoperability gaps or change and configuration management
  • English at NATO SLP 3333
  • Ability to obtain NATO SECRET clearance before employment
