Job Description

Leads NATO Allied Command Transformation’s land-facilities infrastructure programmes across Norfolk and Mons. The director develops lifecycle plans, directs project coordinators, oversees maintenance, acceptance and disposal, and manages cost, scope, schedule, risk and performance for governance decisions. The role coordinates military, civilian and host-nation stakeholders to deliver land-training and facilities capabilities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead development of NATO infrastructure programme plans across DOTMLPFI
  • Assess lifecycle cost, scope, schedule, risk and performance for governance submissions
  • Monitor capability requirements across development stages
  • Plan operations and maintenance support, acceptance and disposal processes
  • Direct project coordinators developing infrastructure and facilities projects
  • Maintain relationships with NATO staff, advisory bodies and military stakeholders
  • Represent the branch at meetings, conferences and workshops
  • Lead or support other infrastructure capabilities and programmes as directed

Role Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant infrastructure discipline with four years of post-related experience, or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training and five years of post-related and two years of function-related experience
  • At least five years of programme-management experience in a large organization
  • At least five years of experience in infrastructure and facilities programmes
  • Experience in land facilities
  • Fluent English at SLP 3333
  • Ability to obtain NATO SECRET security clearance before employment

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of the NATO Governance and Management model for common-funded capabilities
  • Professional accreditation as an engineer, architect, construction manager or infrastructure specialist
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification
  • Management of Risk qualification
  • Resource Management Education Programme course
