Cooling and Ventilation Engineer

Leads complete CERN cooling and ventilation projects from stakeholder requirements and feasibility studies through HVAC design, tendering and contractor supervision to commissioning, cost and schedule control, while improving existing plants and standard technical solutions.

• Define stakeholder requirements and design industrial cooling and HVAC systems
• Prepare technical specifications and manage tendering through contract award
• Coordinate contractors and control project cost, schedule and acceptance
• Troubleshoot plants and improve technical procedures and standards

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent relevant experience
• Demonstrated industrial cooling-system design, construction and testing experience
• Experience selecting cooling equipment and instrumentation
• Project and contract management experience
• Valid driving licence
