Construction Project Management Specialist

Leads client-side delivery of ADB's new Pakistan Resident Mission office in Islamabad. The specialist controls construction quality, cost, schedule, contracts and risk; reviews consultant and contractor performance; manages procurement, variations and capital budgets; and coordinates governance and stakeholder decisions.

Department: Institutional Services Division, Corporate Services Department

• Lead technical, contractual and operational oversight of office construction
• Control construction quality, cost, schedule and delivery risks
• Review project-management consultant methods, recommendations and performance
• Evaluate contract variations, time claims and cost implications
• Manage procurement and the construction-contract lifecycle
• Control capital budgets, guaranteed maximum price and open-book costs
• Coordinate decisions across ADB, consultants, contractors and designers
• Prepare governance reports and steering materials and supervise junior staff

• Bachelor's degree in project management, civil engineering, business, accounting, law or a related discipline
• At least eight years of construction or infrastructure project-management experience, including major building projects
• At least four years of supervisory experience
• Excellent written and verbal English
• Pakistan nationality or permanent-resident status

• Official appointed title is Senior Real Estate Management Officer
• Fixed-term local staff appointment of up to three years with possible renewal
• Position is based at the Pakistan Resident Mission
