Responsibilities
- Administer and evolve PostgreSQL and MySQL services, including migrations, upgrades, scaling and patching
- Design, deploy and improve highly available PostgreSQL infrastructure
- Automate provisioning, configuration, failover and operational workflows
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance, availability, security and incidents
- Define resilience and disaster-recovery strategies and mentor technical peers
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in computer science or a science discipline with significant computing content
- Production relational-database operations experience where availability, backup and recovery are critical
- Strong database troubleshooting, performance, replication, clustering and incident-resolution skills
- Solid SQL knowledge
- Spoken and written English
