Principal Solution Engineer - AirC2 System Products

Provides senior engineering leadership for NATO's integrated air command-and-control products, supporting mission-critical systems used for continuous air-defence operations. The role shapes solution architecture, requirements, networks and technical delivery while leading engineers across the system lifecycle.

• Lead engineers delivering and maintaining integrated AirC2 system products
• Define solution architecture and manage system and software requirements
• Direct development, integration, deployment and maintenance of mission-critical systems
• Design and oversee networks, operating environments and deployment infrastructure
• Manage technical sourcing and contract-delivery activities
• Ensure system coherence, interoperability and lifecycle support across NATO and national environments
• Guide engineering methods, metrics, tools, data management and technical decision-making

• Master's degree in a related discipline with at least five years of post-related experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least eight years
• Experience leading and managing engineering teams
• Recent experience managing system or software engineering for large mission-critical software-intensive systems
• Knowledge of system and software architectures, operating systems, deployment infrastructure and networks
• Knowledge of engineering methods, metrics and tools, development, maintenance, integration and deployment
• Knowledge of database-management systems and data-management concepts
