System Engineer

The engineer integrates, tests and transitions software and application services for NATO battlefield intelligence systems, maintaining technical records, validating interoperability and security, improving automation and coordinating engineering actions with NATO bodies, national representatives and vendors.

Department: BICES Engineering and Enterprise Architecture Branch

• Integrate and validate software services
• Plan and execute system and acceptance testing
• Install and configure software components
• Maintain technical and lifecycle records
• Verify interoperability, security and continuity
• Improve integration workflows and automation
• Coordinate engineering actions with partners

• Bachelor degree in information technology, computer science or a related field
• At least three years of agile software development, integration and testing
• Software application maintenance experience
• Object-oriented analysis and development experience
• Advanced English proficiency
• Nationality of a NATO member country

• Project appointment with six-month probation
• Operational travel may be required
• Appointment is subject to national security clearance
