Network Services Engineer – NaaS

Designs, operates and troubleshoots NATO network-as-a-service infrastructure across Alliance sites. The engineer diagnoses WAN, LAN, VPN and wireless faults, surveys and validates installations, supports service improvements and configures multivendor network solutions around customer operational needs.

Department: NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA)

• Diagnose faults across NATO wide-area, local-area, virtual-private and wireless networks
• Support implementation of new network projects and improvements to existing services
• Conduct site surveys, technical inspections, validation and system-acceptance testing
• Identify infrastructure deficiencies and propose corrective follow-up
• Design and configure network services around customer operational requirements
• Demonstrate service capabilities and provide consultative technical support

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with two years of post-related experience, or at least six years of extensive progressive experience relevant to the function
• At least two years of experience deploying, maintaining and operating multivendor routing, switching and enterprise networks
• At least two years of experience with network automation, orchestration, monitoring and event-management systems
• At least two years of experience working in a centrally managed network environment
• Valid Cisco Professional Certification or another current vendor professional network certification
• Fluency in written and spoken English
