Coordinate telecom and network-infrastructure works across CERN sites, translating cabling requests into documented installations. The technician plans routes and materials, follows contractors, checks quality, supports acceptance inspections and maintains accurate infrastructure records in a complex scientific environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review cabling requests and define suitable cable types and routes with users
  • Coordinate cabling and de-cabling with internal teams and contractors
  • Prepare technical drawings, plans and work documentation
  • Identify safety risks and organise materials, access and equipment
  • Track worksite progress, inspect completed work and update infrastructure records

Requirements

  • Higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in telecommunications, ICT, electrical engineering or a related field
  • Experience in telecom, network, electrical, industrial or technical-infrastructure installation
  • Ability to coordinate onsite work with contractors, users or technical teams
  • Spoken and written English or French with commitment to learn the other
