Overview
Designs and oversees civil-engineering structures across CERN’s infrastructure lifecycle in Geneva. The engineer performs structural and seismic analysis, reviews BIM models, assesses and rehabilitates existing assets, prepares tenders and contracts, and supports construction through inspections and technical validation.

Responsibilities
- Design surface, underground, road and utility structures
- Perform structural, seismic and dimensional analysis
- Review drawings, BIM models and consultant designs
- Assess structures and define rehabilitation solutions
- Prepare specifications, tenders and framework contracts
- Inspect construction and validate completed works
Requirements
- Master degree or equivalent experience in civil engineering
- Structural design and calculation experience
- Experience with concrete, steel and special civil works
- English or French with commitment to learn the other
- Valid driving licence
- Eligibility as a CERN Member or Associate Member State national
