Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise safety infrastructure installation, integration and commissioning across CMS facilities
- Organise deployment and commissioning of the CMS environmental monitoring system
- Lead review, consolidation and maintenance of CMS fire protection systems
- Contribute to safety system logic definition, testing and validation
- Interface with technical coordination, subdetector teams and safety link persons on safety requirements
- Support preparation and follow-up of safety deliverables and alarm management documentation
- Guide activity reviews and risk assessments within CMS
- Improve safety processes and documentation for CMS experimental activities
Requirements
- Experience with fire protection systems or environmental monitoring systems
- Extensive experience installing, integrating and commissioning safety-related technical systems in a complex or multidisciplinary environment
- Experience supervising field installation, testing and commissioning of complex systems
- Track record in activity safety supervision, risk assessment and multi-stakeholder coordination
- Initial experience with control or safety systems such as monitoring systems, alarms or interlocks
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in an international environment
- Master degree or equivalent relevant experience in mechanical engineering, health, safety and environment engineering or a related field
- Spoken and written English and French

- Contract duration: 48 months, with possible extension up to eight years and eligibility for indefinite tenure
- Minimum monthly net entry salary: CHF 9,236
- Fully onsite role with underground interventions, radiation-area work and possible night, Sunday or holiday work
