Responsibilities

  • Support installation, configuration and testing of wireless access points and LAN equipment
  • Assist upgrades of network infrastructure components for coverage, speed and reliability
  • Conduct site surveys and signal-strength analysis for WLAN performance
  • Document configurations, device placements and test results
  • Assist troubleshooting of connectivity issues, bandwidth bottlenecks and device configuration errors
  • Support firewall rule review, security-risk documentation and network monitoring
  • Maintain network topology diagrams, device inventories and asset records
  • Prepare technical documentation, standard operating procedures and user guides

Requirements

  • Applicants must be students in the final year of a bachelor degree or equivalent, enrolled in a master or doctoral programme, or have completed such a programme
  • Field of study must be closely related to the internship
  • Proof of enrolment or completion must be attached to the application
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required
