Senior Officer, Infrastructure Support (Network and Telecom Operations)

Delivers senior operational support for IFRC global network and telecom infrastructure, maintaining secure, available and well-documented connectivity services across offices, data centres, cloud environments and field locations.

Department: Digital Transformation Department

• Provide third-level operational support for global network and telecommunication infrastructure and services
• Design, install and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, VoIP, firewall and security systems across IFRC locations
• Maintain network asset management, documentation, inventories, layouts and technical specifications
• Monitor service availability, performance metrics, KPIs, SLAs and compliance with IFRC standards
• Coordinate security audits, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and risk mitigation plans
• Advise projects on operational support requirements, security, availability and reliability
• Manage network and telecom capacity and improve operating efficiency across global infrastructure
• Research, design and implement modern network and cloud technology standards and solutions

• Engineering degree in computer sciences or equivalent experience
• ITIL certification or equivalent experience and proven enterprise ITIL use
• CCNA certification or equivalent experience with commitment to obtain certification
• At least 10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in WAN, SD-WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, VoIP and firewall infrastructure design and administration
• Proven experience managing large Windows networks and related networking and security services
• At least 3 years of experience in operational maintenance and configuration of hybrid cloud infrastructure
• At least 8 years of experience administering and managing Windows Servers, including failover clustering
• Fluent spoken and written English and legal eligibility to work in Hungary

• National staff position open to Hungarian nationals and others legally eligible to work in Hungary
