Audiovisual Installation & Operations Coordinator

Coordinates installation, renovation, operation and maintenance of CERN conference and audiovisual infrastructure. The role works with users, technical teams and contractors to standardise systems and improve conferencing services.

Department: SCE Department

• Standardise audiovisual equipment across conference rooms, meeting rooms and auditoriums
• Coordinate design, installation and renovation of audiovisual systems to CERN technical standards
• Program and maintain Extron and Crestron equipment controllers
• Maintain the master plan for audiovisual equipment renovation across rooms and auditoriums
• Coordinate external contractors, site visits, maintenance interventions and operational support
• Provide third-line technical support and resolve complex conferencing-service issues

• CERN Member State or Associate Member State nationality, excluding Pakistani and Lithuanian nationals for positions with a 2026 start date
• Relevant qualifications and professional experience
• Higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in audiovisual engineering with audio and video technology specialisation or related field
• Proven experience designing, installing and maintaining AV conference rooms and auditoriums
• Proficiency in AV control platforms and design tools
• Experience coordinating technical teams, managing contractors or contracts, client relations and user technical support
• Networking knowledge including OSI model, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Dante and Art-Net
• Valid driving licence

• Contract duration is 36 months
• Minimum net entry salary: CHF 5,929 per month
• Possibility to extend contract up to 8 years and eligibility for indefinite contract tenure
• Selected candidate must obtain medical clearance because of falling-from-height exposure risks
• Work during nights, Sundays and official holidays may be required
