Assistant technique en génie civil

Maintains the UN House in Bamako by inspecting and repairing buildings, plumbing, sanitary networks and office fixtures. The assistant responds to maintenance requests, supports workspace alterations, supervises external contractors and enforces material, hygiene and safety standards.

Department: Common Services

• Inspect buildings, roofs, fences, parking and circulation areas for deterioration
• Repair masonry, tiles, paintwork, carpentry, locks, doors, windows and suspended ceilings
• Maintain drinking-water networks, pumps, storage tanks and sanitary drainage systems
• Diagnose and repair plumbing leaks and install sanitary equipment
• Support workspace alterations, partitions and movement of heavy furniture
• Respond promptly to building-maintenance requests submitted by UN personnel
• Supervise external contractors and verify materials against technical specifications
• Enforce hygiene and safety standards and proper use of protective equipment

• Completion of secondary education
• At least four years of relevant experience monitoring and controlling infrastructure works with secondary education, or one year with a bachelor’s degree
