Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanic & Equipment)

Maintains and repairs electro-mechanical machinery and electrical installations at the Vienna International Centre, carrying out routine assembly, testing, fault finding and safe workshop operations while recording work and supporting reliable operation of shared building facilities.

Department: Facility Management Services

• Assemble, test and maintain electro-mechanical machinery, access systems and building equipment
• Inspect elevators and escalators and report identified problems to the team leader
• Support repair and maintenance of façade-cleaning equipment and gondola operations
• Install, test, adjust, troubleshoot and repair electrical components, switchboards, wiring and control panels
• Apply safety rules for equipment, materials, protective clothing and workshop tool storage
• Record assigned work accurately in the facility-management work-order platform
• Follow applicable security instructions and environmental and quality standards

• Completed secondary education with an apprenticeship and journeyman certificate in electro-mechanics, electro-technics or an equivalent field
• At least two years of relevant technician experience with secondary education, or at least one year with a first-level university degree or higher
• Good physical condition for walking, standing, crouching, lifting, scaffold and ladder work
• Availability for irregular working hours and short-notice assignments
• Working knowledge of English and German

• Locally recruited fixed-term full-time appointment
• Minimum net annual salary is EUR 44,407
