Equipment Management Database Specialist

CERN seeks an Equipment Management Database Specialist in Geneva to keep the CMS physical inventory synchronized with its database, maintain and extend database applications, build dashboards and traceability tools, improve data quality and support asset installation, labelling and lifecycle management.

• Maintain accuracy and integrity between the CMS equipment database and physical installations
• Record equipment installations, removals and modifications and support field inventory work
• Maintain and extend database applications, interfaces, dashboards and visualization tools
• Improve registration workflows, usability, data quality and asset traceability
• Coordinate interoperability with CERN enterprise asset-management infrastructure
• Prepare documentation and labelling that supports equipment identification and lifecycle management

• A master's degree, doctorate or equivalent relevant experience in computer science, applied physics or a related field
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience developing web applications and database interfaces
• Experience monitoring data quality and consistency between physical assets and digital inventories
• A valid driving licence
• Eligibility as a national of an applicable CERN Member or Associate Member State and no previous CERN Staff contract
• Medical clearance for the stated occupational risks

• The contract is for 48 months and may be extendable under CERN rules
• The published minimum net entry salary is CHF 9,236 per month
