Overview

Develops monitoring electronics at CERN. Responsibilities

  • Design mixed-signal electronics and analogue sensor interfaces
  • Develop embedded firmware in VHDL and C
  • Maintain firmware tools, build flows and development infrastructure
  • Adapt MPSoC architectures for communications and onboard processing
  • Build test boards and radiation test benches
  • Validate system function and performance through measurement and analysis
  • Troubleshoot failures and implement corrective improvements
  • Integrate hardware, firmware and software with multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, PhD or equivalent relevant experience in electronics engineering or a related field
  • Complex HDL firmware development for FPGA platforms
  • Mixed-signal analogue and digital board-design experience
  • Precision analogue front-end and low-current measurement experience
  • Software development in C and Python
  • Valid driving licence
  • Nationality of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State
