Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and quality assurance to offices and partners
- Support country and global protection programming
- Contribute policy and research on protection issues
- Represent UN Women in inter-agency protection mechanisms
- Draft inputs to Secretary-General reports
- Coordinate work on women human-rights defenders and reprisals
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in development, gender issues, economics, political science, human rights, law or relevant social sciences
- At least five years of professional experience in gender equality, gender-responsive protection or the WPS agenda
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- French fluency
- Experience with WPS coordination mechanisms
- Policy on women human-rights defenders or reprisals
