Summary of Responsibilities
- Collaborate with economists and financial-sector specialists to select methods and data sets for economic and econometric modelling
- Develop and implement advanced economic and econometric models for Fund business capabilities
- Design methodologies, programs and modules in response to complex modelling requests
- Research and develop algorithms that improve model performance for parallel computing and large-scale simulations
- Write and maintain computational and data-processing programs, reusable libraries and automated testing frameworks
- Develop course materials and train users in economic and econometric modelling techniques
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a relevant field plus at least four years of post-graduation professional experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus at least ten years
- Economic and econometric modelling expertise covering time series, cross-section, panel-data econometrics and macroeconomic models
- Advanced programming ability in scientific-computing and data-science languages including Matlab, Python and R
- Strong oral and written communication skills to convey higher-level technical concepts to non-experts
