Research Officer/Senior Research Officer (Contractual) - RES

The IMF Research Department seeks a Research Officer/Senior Research Officer in Washington, D.C. The officer conducts research and develops models for country cases on climate, energy, investment and fiscal policy. Outputs include toolkits, research papers and policy contributions. Candidates need analytical skills, English and familiarity with Stata, Python, Matlab and Dynare.

• Conduct research projects of interest to the Development Macroeconomics Division
• Develop and apply models to country cases
• Prepare practical toolkits for policy work
• Produce research papers and policy contributions

• Advanced university degree, or equivalent, in economics, finance, statistics or computer science, or a related field; or a university degree supplemented by a minimum of six years of relevant professional experience
• Excellent command of English, written and oral
• Strong analytical, quantitative and computer skills
