Research Analyst

The IMF Research Analyst compiles, validates and analyses economic and statistical data for research and publications. The role applies econometric methods, maintains cross-country databases, programs analytical routines, drafts reports, supports research projects and liaises with external institutions.

• Compile and validate economic and statistical data
• Apply statistical and econometric techniques
• Create tables, charts and summary analysis

• Bachelor degree in a relevant quantitative field
• Two years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency with statistical and econometric software
• Residence in metropolitan Washington, D.C
• Ability to manage large databases
