Job Description

FAO seeks a Client Support Assistant in Budapest to deliver client-facing shared services. The role resolves complex enquiries and transaction issues, monitors service levels, maintains service catalogues and agreements, supports Procure to Pay, finance, travel and HR work in Oracle, guides users on corporate systems and procedures, and records incoming cases through the support tracking system.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide second-line support for client enquiries and technical issues across corporate systems and procedures
  • Review and resolve complex or long-standing client problems
  • Support service-level-agreement reviews, monitor performance concerns and escalate them as needed
  • Identify transaction-processing problems and data discrepancies and participate in testing system changes
  • Maintain the Shared Services Centre service catalogue and service-level agreements
  • Assist personnel with Procure to Pay, finance, travel and HR transactions in FAO’s Oracle Global Resource Management System
  • Guide users on corporate systems, FAO rules and procedures
  • Handle incoming queries through the tracking system and phone within established service levels

Role Requirements

  • Secondary school education is required
  • Four years of relevant office or management-support experience, including human resources, travel, finance and/or general administration, is required
  • Working knowledge of English at proficiency level C is required
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications, Internet and office technology equipment is required
  • Candidates must be Hungarian nationals or hold an existing visa or valid work permit and reside within commuting distance of Budapest at the time of application

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in more than one area of work is desirable
  • Working or intermediate knowledge of Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish is desirable
  • Good knowledge of FAO’s organizational structure is desirable
