Supports the World Bank Transport practice by analysing sector demand, infrastructure investment, emissions and logistics evidence for operations and policy advice. The Young Professional helps prepare projects, knowledge products and stakeholder dialogue across climate-resilient, inclusive and efficient connectivity, while managing assignments with sound judgement.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Conduct transport sector assessments, demand studies and infrastructure planning analysis
- Support project preparation, supervision, investment appraisal and risk analysis
- Contribute analytical inputs to country strategies and climate diagnostics
- Communicate technical findings through briefs, presentations and workshops
- Build collaboration with World Bank Group colleagues and external partners
- Manage parallel assignments with sound judgement and attention to deadlines
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in transport planning, engineering, economics, finance, urban or regional planning, architecture, mathematics, natural sciences or a relevant field
- Two to six years of relevant professional experience in transport operations, advisory services, analytics, infrastructure planning or related development work
- Fluency in English
- Ability to translate complex technical analysis into clear written products and presentations
Desired Criteria
- Experience in transport subsectors including urban mobility, roads, railways, ports, aviation, logistics or multimodal connectivity
- Experience with climate-resilient infrastructure, transport decarbonization or low-carbon mobility
- Familiarity with CUBE or VISUM transport modeling tools
- Knowledge of a relevant regional language
