The World Bank Group Young Professionals Program seeks a sustainable-finance professional for One Climate’s transaction solutions team. The role helps structure climate finance, develop financial products, advance Paris Alignment and climate metrics, assess risks and opportunities, and translate cross-institutional experience into investment and operational solutions for clients and markets.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Structure sustainable finance transactions and scale solutions across sectors and markets
  • Translate climate priorities into operational and investment solutions across WBG institutions
  • Advance climate outcome measurement and approaches to emissions and resilience metrics
  • Assess climate risks and opportunities and contribute to credible finance instruments and frameworks
  • Partner with financial, legal, treasury, data and technology teams on products and guidance

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a stated sustainable-finance or climate-related field
  • 2-6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong grounding in sustainable and climate finance
  • Fluency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with MDBs, DFIs, financial institutions, investors, issuers, corporates, governments or advisory work is an advantage
  • Proficiency in other languages is an advantage
