Job Description

The World Bank Group Young Professionals Program offers a Climate Change role centred on adaptation and resilience analytics. The professional assesses climate risks, develops quantitative evidence and decision tools, supports adaptation finance and policy recommendations, and translates climate, hazard and geospatial data into practical country and sector solutions for development operations.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Translate climate priorities into practical adaptation and resilience solutions
  • Advance climate outcome measurement through technical and operational pilots
  • Assess adaptation options across economic viability, equity, feasibility and resilience outcomes
  • Assemble and interpret climate, hazard, exposure and socioeconomic data for diagnostics
  • Develop actionable policy, regulatory and public-investment recommendations from technical evidence

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a stated climate-related field
  • 2-6 years of relevant professional or applied research experience
  • Climate adaptation and resilience analytical experience
  • Fluency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in developing-country contexts is an advantage
  • Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage
