Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support lending operations, trust-funded activities and flagship water-security programmes
  • Contribute integrated solutions for water reuse, irrigation, utilities and groundwater management
  • Conduct research, data analysis and technical reviews for country engagements
  • Support water-governance, financing and private-capital reforms
  • Participate in implementation-support missions and stakeholder consultations
  • Prepare policy notes, concept notes, briefing materials and results reports

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of a master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, water resources management, environmental science or policy, economics, public policy, development studies, agriculture, climate studies, international development, or another relevant water-related field
  • 2-6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficiency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in irrigation modernization, utility management or water governance is an advantage
  • Demonstrated technical experience in water-security areas
