Job Description
UNIDO seeks an Industrial Development Officer in Vienna to advance climate technology innovation and resilient industrialization. The officer will develop technical-cooperation programmes, monitor delivery and budgets, mobilize climate finance, support global forums, assess developing-country needs, engage industry partners, and promote climate-adaptation solutions.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop climate-technology technical-cooperation programmes
- Manage programme implementation, budgets and project inputs
- Monitor implementation and participate in evaluation
- Mobilize funds for projects and programmes
- Support global forums, conferences and technical publications
- Track technical and economic developments
- Assess country needs and problems
- Engage industry and private-sector partners on climate resilience
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural science, environmental management, economics, technology innovation or a relevant field
- At least five years of relevant experience with an advanced degree, or eight years with a bachelor's degree
- At least three years designing technical-cooperation programmes and mobilizing multilateral climate finance
- Fluency in English and working knowledge of another UN language

- Experience engaging industry and the private sector in climate adaptation and resilience
