Technical Specialist (Concept Note Development)

Develops programme concept notes for FAO Egypt’s priority portfolio remotely. The Technical Specialist aligns proposals with FAO strategy, donor requirements and national priorities; integrates gender, climate, safeguards, nutrition and youth; advises the country office on results frameworks and theories of change; and supports resource mobilisation and alignment with national development plans.

• Formulate concept notes for priority programme areas
• Align notes with FAO strategy, donor requirements and national priorities
• Integrate cross-cutting gender, climate, safeguards, nutrition and youth issues
• Advise on structure, formulation and resource mobilisation
• Provide guidance on results frameworks and theories of change

• Advanced university degree in international development, international relations, economics, social sciences, agribusiness, agriculture, environmental sciences, rural development or related field
• At least 5 years of concept-note development experience
• Working knowledge of English
