Summary of Responsibilities

  • Assess agribusiness, cooperative and entrepreneur needs across targeted communities and value chains
  • Specify, procure and transfer productive equipment and renewable-energy solutions
  • Guide food processing, productivity, food safety, quality control and resource efficiency improvements
  • Design and deliver entrepreneurial, technical and youth-livelihood training with project specialists
  • Coach enterprises and cooperatives on responsible business practices and sustainability standards
  • Coordinate industrial interventions with FAO, MinDA, technical working groups and project partners
  • Track Output 2.1 indicators and contribute evidence to reports, evaluations and learning products
  • Integrate gender equality, social inclusion, human-rights and climate-resilience safeguards across activities

Role Requirements

  • Philippine nationality or permanent residence
  • Master's degree in agribusiness, industrial development or a related discipline, or a first degree or advanced technical diploma with seven additional years of relevant experience
  • At least seven years of progressive experience in industrial or agro-industrial development, food processing, value chains, technology transfer or enterprise support
  • Experience conducting needs assessments, productive-capacity diagnostics and value-chain analysis
  • Experience designing and implementing productive-equipment or renewable-energy transfer programmes
  • Experience with agribusinesses, cooperatives or MSMEs in the Philippines or a comparable context
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Fluency in Tagalog

Desired Criteria

  • Experience integrating gender equality, social inclusion and rights-based approaches into industrial development
  • Experience delivering technical training, coaching or mentoring to enterprises and training centres
  • Experience with quality and sustainability standards or certification schemes
  • Experience with productive-use renewable-energy solutions
  • Experience with resilience, peacebuilding or recovery programmes
  • Experience with UN agencies, international organisations or EU-funded projects
