Summary of Responsibilities

  • Conduct enterprise and value-chain diagnostics and identify constraints, opportunities and upgrading pathways
  • Design and implement enterprise upgrading, productivity, quality-compliance and market-linkage interventions
  • Advise enterprises on sustainable production, resource efficiency and climate-resilient business models
  • Deliver training, coaching, workshops and on-site technical assistance to MSMEs, cooperatives and support organisations
  • Facilitate partnerships with anchor firms, financial institutions and enterprise-support institutions
  • Coordinate enterprise interventions with UNIDO, FAO, MinDA, OHCHR, local governments and technical working groups
  • Collect enterprise data and contribute to project reporting, evaluation, learning and indicator tracking
  • Integrate gender equality, social inclusion, rights-based approaches, environmental sustainability and conflict sensitivity

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant enterprise-development discipline, or first-level degree or advanced technical diploma with seven additional years of directly relevant experience
  • At least seven years of progressive experience in enterprise development, MSME or cooperative support, value chains, business development services or agro-industry
  • Experience conducting enterprise diagnostics and value-chain analysis and delivering business development services
  • Experience with MSMEs, cooperatives or agribusinesses in the Philippines, particularly Mindanao, or a comparable context
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Fluency in written and spoken Tagalog
  • Philippine nationality or permanent residence

Desired Criteria

  • Experience delivering capacity building, coaching or mentoring to entrepreneurs, cooperatives and business-service providers
  • Experience integrating gender equality, social inclusion, human rights, FPIC and do-no-harm approaches
  • Experience with resilience, social-cohesion, peacebuilding or recovery programmes
  • Experience with United Nations agencies, international organisations or EU-funded projects
  • Experience in conflict-affected or fragile contexts, including BARMM
