Job Description
UNRWA seeks a vocational training instructor to deliver aluminium fabrication and installation learning programmes in Damascus. The role develops competency-based curricula, facilitates practical training, assesses learners and integrates occupational safety, green and digital skills into TVET delivery. It also uses employer and labour-market feedback to keep courses aligned with skills needs.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop aluminium-specialism learning programmes, curriculum profiles, learning guides and manuals
- Facilitate school-based and work-based training in classrooms, laboratories, workshops and workplaces
- Prepare formative and summative student assessments and practice-based skills tests
- Use labour-market information and employer feedback to identify training-course skills needs
- Apply the UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework across the training cycle
- Integrate green and digital skills and occupational safety into learning programmes
Role Requirements
- Full secondary education plus two years of post-secondary technical education or training in Mechanical Engineering
- No experience is required
- English is required
- Residence in Syria within commuting distance of the duty station and authorisation to work there

- Daily paid assignment for up to three months with possible extension
- Only candidates residing in Syria within commuting distance of the duty station and authorised to work there are eligible
- One day of annual leave and one day of sick leave accrue for each completed month of service
