Job Description
UNRWA seeks a vocational training instructor for AC refrigeration within its Damascus TVET programme. The instructor will develop technical curricula, deliver inclusive practical learning, assess trainees and strengthen training quality, labour-market relevance and green and digital skills. The post supports employer engagement and skills-needs analysis for its training courses.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational and competency analyses for AC refrigeration training programmes
- Set up training venues and facilities and facilitate inclusive learning for trainees
- Prepare learning plans and monitor classroom, laboratory, workshop and workplace learning
- Develop assessment sheets and conduct knowledge-based and practical skills tests
- Maintain links with employers and analyse employer surveys and graduate trace studies
- Support synchronous and asynchronous training sessions and TVET digitalisation initiatives
Role Requirements
- Full secondary education plus two years of post-secondary technical education or training specialising in General Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Power Engineering
- No experience is required
- English and Arabic are required
- Residence in Syria within commuting distance of the duty station and authorisation to work there

- Daily paid assignment for up to three months with possible extension
- Only candidates residing in Syria within commuting distance of the duty station and authorised to work there are eligible
- One day of annual leave and one day of sick leave accrue for each completed month of service
