Vocational Training Instructor – AC Refrigeration

UNRWA seeks a vocational training instructor for AC refrigeration within its Damascus TVET programme. The instructor will develop technical curricula, deliver inclusive practical learning, assess trainees and strengthen training quality, labour-market relevance and green and digital skills. The post supports employer engagement and skills-needs analysis for its training courses.

• Conduct occupational and competency analyses for AC refrigeration training programmes
• Set up training venues and facilities and facilitate inclusive learning for trainees
• Prepare learning plans and monitor classroom, laboratory, workshop and workplace learning
• Develop assessment sheets and conduct knowledge-based and practical skills tests
• Maintain links with employers and analyse employer surveys and graduate trace studies
• Support synchronous and asynchronous training sessions and TVET digitalisation initiatives

• Full secondary education plus two years of post-secondary technical education or training specialising in General Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Power Engineering
• No experience is required
• English and Arabic are required
• Residence in Syria within commuting distance of the duty station and authorisation to work there

• Daily paid assignment for up to three months with possible extension
• Only candidates residing in Syria within commuting distance of the duty station and authorised to work there are eligible
