Job Description

Supports the WHO UHC Knowledge Hub's work on health financing by coordinating its workplan, capacity-building activities and partnerships. The role develops training and analytical materials, facilitates exchange among WHO and external partners, supports policy analysis and high-level events, and helps strengthen national capacity for equitable, efficient and sustainable health financing toward universal health coverage.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and monitoring of the UHC Knowledge Hub workplan
  • Organise and facilitate health-financing capacity-building activities
  • Develop training materials with WHO health-financing and economics teams
  • Facilitate information sharing among Hub partners and WHO levels
  • Prepare narrative reports and monitor WHO contributions to the Hub
  • Support high-level fora and coordination activities
  • Conduct health-financing and public-financial-management analysis
  • Support administrative services in compliance with WHO procedures

Role Requirements

  • University degree in business administration, management, economics, health economics, health policy, public health or social sciences with a concentration in health financing
  • Five years of health-financing experience
  • Experience organising, facilitating and designing training materials and capacity-strengthening activities
  • At least three years of international exposure relevant to the role
  • Expert knowledge of English

Desired Criteria

  • Post-graduate degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in WHO, UN or international agencies
  • Experience with bilateral agencies
  • Intermediate knowledge of French
