Lead strategic partnerships, resource mobilisation and innovative financing for WHO’s Asia-Pacific environment and health centre, advising senior leadership, directing cross-cutting initiatives, managing a multidisciplinary team and representing the centre in senior policy dialogue.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Advise senior leadership on partnerships, financing, artificial intelligence and organisational development
  • Lead strategic initiatives covering health finance, climate, digital transformation and innovation
  • Supervise and develop a multidisciplinary team
  • Analyse partners, donors and financing mechanisms and identify collaboration opportunities
  • Build relationships with governments, donors, financial institutions and private partners
  • Guide negotiation and implementation of partnership and financing agreements
  • Lead grant proposals, investment cases, donor reports and financing strategies
  • Represent the centre in regional and international negotiations and policy dialogue

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in international relations, political science, social sciences, communications, marketing, management, financial management, business or public administration
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in health or climate financing, external relations, strategic partnerships, resource mobilisation, grants management or related fields
  • Demonstrated achievements in resource mobilisation, partnership development or financing initiatives
  • Expertise in strategic leadership, organisational development, partnerships and innovative financing
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and complex strategic programmes
  • Excellent English and Korean
  • Nationality of the Republic of Korea

Desired Criteria

  • Training in external relations, communications, resource mobilisation, partnership development, health financing, donor intelligence, proposal writing or programme management
  • Experience with WHO, the United Nations or another international organisation
  • Experience managing partnerships with climate or public-health donors and Korean institutions
