Job Description
The National Consultant assesses integrity risks in the Indonesia–Malaysia migrant-worker placement corridor for UNODC. The home-based assignment maps processes and safeguards, gathers stakeholder evidence, analyses trafficking vulnerabilities and protection mechanisms, convenes a validation workshop, and delivers recommendations to strengthen governance and prevention.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Map processes and actors involved in placing Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia
- Assess integrity risks, safeguards, monitoring, complaints and protection mechanisms
- Gather evidence through desk research, interviews, consultations and case analysis
- Facilitate a stakeholder validation workshop on findings and recommendations
- Deliver inception, desk-review, assessment and final technical reports with practical recommendations
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in social science, criminal justice, international relations, political science, migration studies or related fields
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in trafficking in persons, labour migration, migrant-worker protection, criminal justice, law enforcement or related areas
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
Desired Criteria
- Experience working with Indonesian institutions or the Indonesia–Malaysia corridor
- Experience on trafficking, forced labour or labour migration projects in Southeast Asia
- Knowledge of another United Nations official language
