Job Description
IOM seeks a Social Worker to support unaccompanied migrant children in an accommodation centre in Athens. The post leads social-history assessment, case management, referrals and individual planning, while helping children access community services, education and psychosocial support. It also coordinates with guardians and shelter staff to protect children and prepare them for independent.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Take social histories and manage individual case files for unaccompanied children
- Facilitate children’s access to community services, social programmes and vocational education
- Conduct group and individual social-support sessions and address accommodation-related needs
- Coordinate best-interest assessments and individual action plans with guardians and shelter staff
- Refer beneficiaries for medical care and monitor vaccination schedules
- Prepare children for entry to and departure from the accommodation centre
Role Requirements
- University degree in Social Work
- Licensed Social Worker with membership of the Association of Greek Social Workers
- Fluency in Greek and working knowledge of English or French
- Valid residence and work permit for Greece
Desired Criteria
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Experience working with children
- Driver’s licence with five years of driving experience
